PXP Prices $600M of Senior Notes
Plains Exploration & Production Co. has sold $600 million of 7 3/4% Senior Notes that will mature June 15, 2015. The notes were sold to the public at par. Net proceeds will be used to repay borrowings under PXP's revolving credit facility.
Interest is payable June 15th and December 15th of each year. The first interest payment will be made on December 15, 2007, and will consist of interest from closing to that date. The offering is expected to close on June 19, 2007.
The offering was underwritten by J.P. Morgan Securities Inc. and Lehman Brothers Inc., who acted as joint book-running managers for the offering.
