Imperial Energy Reports New Producer at Snezhnoye Field
Imperial Energy Corp. PLC on Monday announced further positive drilling and production success from the Snezhnoye and Maiskoye Fields, Tomsk Region, Western Siberia.
Snezhnoye Field, Block 77
The new production well 140, which has been completed, was drilled to the top of the Tyumen formation at a depth of 2965 m MD. The well penetrated 14.3 m of pay in the Vasyugan formation. After successfully carrying out a 100 ton fracturing treatment the well is now producing at 490 bbl per day.
The new production well 143, which has been completed, was drilled to the top of the Tyumen formation at a depth of 2570 m MD. The well penetrated 14 m of pay in Vasyugan formation. After successfully carrying out a 100 ton fracturing treatment the well is now producing at 515 bbl per day.
After the initial production phase the performance of both of these wells will be reviewed and then if appropriate optimized using artificial lift whereupon improved rates may be achieved.
The new production well 148 has now been completed and will shortly be the subject of fracturing treatment. The next production well 142 is now being drilled.
Maiskoye Field, Block 70
The new horizontal well Maiskoye 396 was successfully drilled through a 9 m thick Vasyugan formation. The well length has now been completed at a total depth of 3350 m with a horizontal leg of 514 m being drilled in one hundred percent pay sands throughout its entire length. Based on results achieved from the successful horizontal well 394 this well has the potential to produce substantially ahead of expectations.
The new vertical well Maiskoye 397 is now drilling. During the course of July it is anticipated that the completed vertical wells 392, 393 and completed horizontal wells 394, 395, 396 and 102 as well as the latest well 397 will commence production and flow oil into Imperial's Maiskoye-Festivalnoye-Luginetskoye pipeline.
Imperial Energy is an independent oil exploration and production company with operations in the Russian Federation. The Company is 10,000 bopd production by end of 2007, 25,000 bopd by end of 2008 and 35,00 bopd by the end of 2009.
