Amerada Hess Drills Duster in Denmark

Amerada Hess reports that the Oscar 1 (5604/32-1) well located in License 12/98 of the Danish sector of the North Sea has come up dry. The well was drilled just east of Central Graben to a depth of 2,439 meters with the jackup Ensco 70. The well is now plugged and abandoned. Subsequently, the Ensco 70 will be moved to the Norwegian-Danish Basin to drill an appraisal well at the Nini Field.
Partners in License 12/98 are Amerada Hess with 50%; Denerco oil with 305 and DONG with the remaining 20%.
