Pemex Awards 127 Public Works Contracts in Q1
Mexico's state oil company Pemex and its subsidiaries awarded 127 public works contracts related to oil infrastructure in the first quarter worth a total 46.8bn pesos (US$4.35bn), Pemex said in a statement.
Of the total, 109 correspond to investments worth 38.6bn pesos and the remainder to public works services.
The contracts were largely a result of tenders published at end-2006.
In 1Q07, Pemex published 142 public tenders, which 81 corresponded to investments and the remainder to public works services.
