Santos Drills Duster with Bligh-1

The Bligh-1 exploration well located in the Carnarvon Basin of the North West Shelf will be plugged and abandoned after failing to encounter hydrocarbons. The well drilled to a total depth of 3205 meters, and wireline logs were run. The Sedco 703 will now move to drill the Mutineer-3 appraisal well.
Santos is the operator of WA-191-P with 33.4%; Kufpec Australia Pty Ltd. holds 33.4%; Nippon Oil holds 35.0% and Woodside holds the remaining 8.2%.
