Clayton to Step Down as Venture's Finance Director

Venture Production plc announced that its finance director, Marie-Louise Clayton, on Wednesday gave notice of her resignation in order to develop her career outside the group.
Venture said that it expects Clayton to leave by November 2007, and the company will begin recruiting her replacement immediately.
"Marie-Louise has made a substantial contribution to Venture since joining the company in February 2005," said Mike Wagstaff, Venture's chief executive. "She has been an integral part of the Venture management team, which has delivered real growth over the last two and a half years. The company is now in a very strong financial position and recently announced record operating and financial performance for 2006. The Board wishes Marie-Louise every success in her future career and look forward to working with her on an orderly transition."
