Callon Promotes Smith, Conn
Callon Petroleum Co. has named Rodger W. Smith the company's Vice President and Treasurer and Mitzi P. Conn its Controller. Both are long-term Callon employees.
Smith had most recently served as Corporate Controller and Treasurer, having been appointed Corporate Treasurer in 1999 and Corporate Controller in 2004. Prior to that time, he had served as Manager, Budget and Analysis. He has been employed by Callon and its predecessors since 1983.
Conn was promoted from Assistant Controller to her new position. Previously, she had served as a Senior Financial Analyst, and Supervisor, Budget and Analysis. She has been employed by the company and its predecessors since 1993.
"Rodger and Mitzi have done a wonderful job for us over the years, and we are pleased to recognize their efforts with these well-deserved promotions," explained Fred Callon, Chairman and CEO.
Callon Petroleum Co. is engaged in the exploration, development, acquisition and operation of oil and gas properties primarily in the Gulf Coast region. Callon's properties and operations are geographically concentrated in Louisiana, Alabama and the offshore waters of the Gulf of Mexico.
