Friday, October 04, 2002
Petrovietnam has set a target date of late November to begin output at its Nam Con Son field offshore South Vietnam. Output from the field is expected to be 95.3 million cubic feet of gas per day. This is the country's first commercial gas pipeline. Contributions from this field along with several other projects would result in a targeted rise in overall oil and gas production in 2004 of 23 million tons from about 18.5 million this year.
