Pluspetrol Could Drill 3 More Wells on Block 56
The Peruvian subsidiary of Argentine oil company Pluspetrol could drill three more wells on the Pagoreni field in block 56 by year-end, government newspaper El Peruano reported, quoting subsidiary CEO Norberto Benito.
Pagoreni is known as Camisea 2 and its developers are the same as for Camisea: Pluspetrol owns 26%, US company Hunt Oil 36%, Argentina's Tecpetrol and Algeria's Sonatrach each have 10% and South Korea's SK Corporation 18%.
Each well will require US$17mn-20mn investment.
The company already has completed drilling three wells on the block.
Block 56 has proven reserves of 2.85Tf3 (80.7Bm3) as well as 1.97Tf3 probable and possible reserves, BNamericas previously reported.
