Seatronics Announces New Appointments

The marine survey equipment rental and sales firm Seatronics has made a series of key appointments to help the company achieve its worldwide strategic growth plans.

With offices in five locations around the world, Seatronics aims to significantly develop its business to meet increasing customer demand. New appointments Adil Ali and Bent Warming Hansen will play an integral part in driving the business forward across the Middle East and the US.

Ali, 42, has been taken on as general manager of the Middle East region. A geophysicist with more than 20 years senior experience with operational companies in Europe and the Far East, he was most recently sales manager for Coda Octopus Ltd.

Hansen, 45, joins Seatronics Houston office in an interim business development role, responsible for advancing relationships with new and key offshore survey clients in North and South America. He brings with him a wealth of industry experience in the US and Europe, most recently as a senior manager with multibeam technology manufacturing company Reson.

Seatronics is also actively expanding its engineering capability around the world. The company has recruited a further 10 electronic field and workshop engineers across their offices in Aberdeen, Abu Dhabi, Houston, New Iberia, La., and Singapore.

A further six engineers will be taken on in the near future, taking the company's compliment of operational technicians and engineers to over 50. Seatronics managing director David Currie said: "Both Adil and Bent have an in-depth knowledge of the industry as well as an understanding of all our client requirements. Their knowledge and experience will be invaluable to Seatronics as we seek to build on our impressive growth, particularly overseas."
