Salta's Valles Calchaquies Pipeline Bidding Timeline Slips
Argentina's Salta province will open economic bids for the 149km Valles Calchaquies gas pipeline during the week starting April 23, a spokesperson from Salta's production ministry told BNamericas in an email.
The province had initially planned to open the bids on April 12.
Local firms Walter Mario Conta and Mega submitted bids for the pipeline, which will provide gas to La Candelaria, El Tala, El Jardin, Potrerillos, Tolombon, Cafayate, Animaná and San Carlos.
The official budget for the project is 55mn pesos (US$18mn), the spokesperson said.
Construction is due to require seven months once natural gas regulator Enargas clears the project and its EIS BNamericas reported previously.
The pipeline will include a valve in Tolombon, meaning the provinces to Salta's south could connect to the line.
