Pemex to Launch 10yr Pipeline Works Tender April 17
Mexican state oil company Pemex's E&P unit Pemex Exploracion y Produccion (PEP) plans to launch an international pipeline works tender on April 17.
The 10-year contract entails carrying out works to ensure the reliability of the hydrocarbons pipeline transport system in the states of Tabasco, Veracruz and Chiapas, according to draft bidding rules.
The system includes: 93 pipelines running 1,775km total that are operational or temporarily out of service; 22 pipelines (325km) out of operation; and pumping, storage and sale centers.
Potential bidders must have operated and managed without interruptions hydrocarbons transport systems from 2002-06 with a length no less than 1,700km, among other requirements.
PEP has scheduled a site visit for May 9, with offers due July 17 and a decision expected later that month.
