Anzon Taps Arnett as Chairman
The Board of Anzon Energy Limited has appointed Mr Michael N. Arnett as its new Non-Executive Chairman, effective immediately.
Mr Arnett has been a Director of the Company since it commenced its activities in the upstream oil & gas industry in 2001.
Mr Arnett is a Consultant to the law firm Deacons and until recently a member of the Board of Directors and national head of the Natural Resources Business Unit of Deacons. He is also one of the firm's three representatives on the International Management Board responsible for the management of Deacons' international operations, which extend throughout Asia. Mr Arnett has been involved in significant corporate and commercial legal work for the resource industry for over 19 years.
Mr Arnett is also a Director of Anzon Australia Limited and various other private and public companies including Archipelago Resources Plc, Axiom Mining Limited and Queensland Energy Resources Ltd.
Mr. Koroknay, the co founder of the Company, has elected to step aside from the role of Chairman but will remain on the Board as a Non-Executive Director. On behalf of the Board, Mr. Arnett thanked Mr. Koroknay for his huge contribution to the establishment and growth of the Company and in particular praised his initiative in the creation of an international oil and gas company. Mr. Koroknay will continue to play a significant role in the future growth of Anzon Energy.
