Aker Yards Stock Split Gets Green Light

The annual general meeting in Aker Yards ASA on Thursday approved the Board's proposal to split the share (1:5) so that each share with par value of NOK 20 becomes five new shares with par value NOK 4. The company's total share capital would not be changed as a result of the share split, but the total number of shares outstanding will be raised fivefold.
The Aker Yards share will be traded with a par value of NOK 4 as from Friday 30 March 2007.
