Anadarko Platforms Up and Running After Tropical Storm Fay

Anadarko has restarted operations on its offshore platforms in the Gulf of Mexico after Tropical Storm Fay had a minor impact on production late last week. "We're back on line, and everyone's back on the platform," said a spokeswoman.

Anadarko shut in production from two platforms Friday, causing a "minuscule" decline in oil and natural gas output from the Lake Jackson region of the Gulf, after winds and seas from Tropical Storm Fay forced evacuations.

Other oil and gas operators in the area evacuated some personnel Thursday and Friday of last week as a result of the storm, but none of them reportedly shut in any production, according to the U.S. Minerals Management Service.
