Powder River Completes Second Well in Brookshire Salt Dome
Powder River Basin Gas Corp. has successfully completed the second well on the Brookshire Salt Dome project in Waller County, Texas.
The Minns Josh #5 held pressure at 1480 PSI to surface with oil to surface.
The well held flowing tubing pressure at 900 pounds and flowed 84.8 barrels per hour open.
The well was set at 8/64 choke and produced 428 barrels per day. The field allowable is 250 barrels per well per day, and the well will be choked back to 250 BOPD over the next several days. Operating at this rate will greatly increase the economic life of the well.
Powder River Basin Gas Corp. is currently preparing the site for the third well, which will be started in the next few weeks.
"It is very exciting to hit such a huge producer in the initial stages of development on the Brookshire Salt Dome project. It is also thrilling that we continue to maintain our 100% success rate on newly drilled wells. I would also like to take this opportunity to express my sincerest and deepest sympathies to the people of Indonesia following the recent earthquake. Our thoughts and prayers are with our many friends, colleagues and business associates during this difficult time," stated Powder River Basin Gas Corp. CEO Brian Fox.
Powder River Basin Gas Corp. is active in production, acquisition, and marketing of crude oil and natural gas properties.
