41 New Companies to Exhibit at 2002 SPEC Conference

The 2002 SPE Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition adds 41 new companies to the exhibit floor this year. The conference runs from 29 September to 2 October at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas, U.S.A.

More than 400 companies from around the world are participating in the exhibition. With more than 100,000 net square feet of exhibit space and 41 new exhibiting companies, the conference houses the newest and most innovative technologies under one roof.

"Axonn chose to exhibit at this conference because it will draw the right audience as we plan to get more involved in the refinery business. We also are confident that SPE will provide a great show," said Miller Englehardt, Director of Product Marketing of Axonn, first-time exhibitors at this year's show. "We’re excited to roll out a new product—a wireless sensor interface to transmit data to a command center."

Andy Rike, President of Technicoil U.S.A., also brings his company to exhibit for the first time. "Technicoil is exhibiting at the 2002 SPE Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition to showcase a new rig technology. We have built a new hybrid rig design that integrates coiled tubing and jointed pipe capabilities," he said. The two-and-a-half-year-old company started with one rig in the U.S. and now has plans for a fifth.
