ODIM Strengthens Management with Deepwater Focus

ODIM ASA has appointed Kjetil Leine, 42, the company's Senior Vice President – Mooring & Deepwater Installation.

The great potential of the deepwater market requires ODIM to improve its capacity even further. As head of the Mooring & Deepwater Installation business area, Mr Leine's main focus will be on organization building, capacity expansion and project execution.

Mr Leine has extensive experience from the international marine industry and is currently employed by Rolls-Royce Marine as regional director for Asia Pacific and managing director for the Middle East. He will join ODIM during the summer. He holds an MSc in engineering from the Norwegian Institute of Technology in Trondheim. Although currently resident in Dubai, he hails from the Heroy local authority adjacent to Hareid in Norway where ODIM has its head office.

Per Ingeberg, 48, was appointed senior vice president for research and development (R&D). For his part, Mr Ingeberg will be concentrating his attention on continued development of applications for the ODIM CTCU technology. He has worked at ODIM since 1998, and remains president of the ODIM Alitec AS R&D company.

ODIM achieved a breakthrough in the Mooring & Deepwater Installation area in both technological and commercial terms during 2006. With the strengthening of its management, the company's heavy commitment to this very promising deepwater market is developing as planned.

ODIM ASA develops and sells advanced automated handling solutions, primarily cable handling systems and winches for use on offshore and naval vessels.
