Canadian Superior Updates Nova Scotia Drilling Operations
The Company's L-35 Marquis well is currently drilling ahead of schedule and Canadian Superior expects to fully evaluate the Abenaki reef with further drilling and testing planned over the next 30 days.
The Company is also proceeding ahead with the licensing of its Mariner Exploration Prospect located approximately 100 miles offshore Nova Scotia which will offset Sable Island's Venture natural gas fields which are the largest accumulations of natural gas offshore Nova Scotia.
Company President Greg Noval said, "The recent announcement by Marathon Canada Limited and EnCana Corporation regarding their Annapolis deep water natural gas discovery offshore Nova Scotia bodes very well for Canadian Superior's 750,000 acre Mayflower deep water prospect. Canadian Superior's Mayflower Prospect contains large multiple deep water turbidite structures prospective for world-class natural gas accumulations."
Canadian Superior is a Calgary, Alberta based oil and gas exploration and production company. The Company is one of the largest acreage holders offshore Nova Scotia, with a 100% interest in 934,065 acres offshore Nova Scotia.
