Reflex Names New Board Members
Reflex Marine, global expert in marine personnel transfer, has appointed two new board members to help meet the demands of growth and diversification. Duncan Cuthill has been appointed as operations director and Felicity Wilshaw as business support director.
Duncan Cuthill is a qualified Master Mariner, with operational experience in a wide range of marine activities and a solid track record as a senior manager in marine consulting and marine project management. His recruitment and appointment to the board will strengthen the company's technical capability and management team as it strives to grow and expand its portfolio of products and services.
Felicity Wilshaw has been with Reflex Marine since 2000 in the formative years of the company. Her involvement in sales, marketing, recruitment and finance has given her a broad knowledge of the business. She has been a central figure in building up an infrastructure capable of supporting a period of rapid growth. Her appointment to the board is a natural progression of the increasingly central role she has taken. Her focus on commercial aspects and team development will be a useful complement to the current technical and operational bias of the board.
Developer of the Frog personnel transfer capsule, Reflex Marine has set the standard for moving people safely by crane offshore over the last 10 years. Philip Strong, the managing director of Reflex Marine, said: "Our team's flexibility has enabled Reflex Marine to cope remarkably well during the recent growth period, but our continued expansion into other related areas has required us to appoint people at a senior level to ensure that the focus and momentum of the company is maintained.
"I have known Duncan for 10 years and have been impressed by his progressive approach, openness to new thinking and project management skills. He will add important strengths to our fast developing team.
"Felicity has been at the core of the business for a number of years now and her energy, focus and ability to bring the team together have been invaluable. She is going to be a real asset to the board."
Duncan said: "Reflex Marine is an organization with a clear vision and excellent core values and I hope to make a real contribution to its continuing development."
Felicity commented: "Reflex Marine places high value on teamwork and integrity, and these are values which I share. I look forward to playing my part in delivering future success for the company."
