PA Resources Confirms Oil in Didon-6

PA Resources has now completed the pilot hole of the second production well of the Didon Phase II development program offshore Tunisia. The well Didon-6 has been logged and a hydrocarbon column and the reservoir properties have been confirmed.

The Didon-6 well is located on the eastern part of the Didon field and has been drilled as a long reach step-out well by the jackup Ocean Spur from the Didon platform. The Didon-6 pilot hole was drilled to acquire vertical data across the reservoir section and serve as well control for the drilling of the horizontal production drain.

The data gathered in the pilot hole has confirmed the quality of the reservoir and a hydrocarbon column. This part of the well will now be abandoned before the horizontal production drain section of the well will be drilled according to plan. The horizontal drain is planned to have a length of 700 meter and will be placed along the top of the reservoir section. Once completed the Didon-6 well is planned to have a production capacity of 10,000 barrels of oil per day.
