Petroecuador Board Names New Authorities
The board of Ecuador's state oil company Petroecuador has appointed Carlos Pareja Yannuzzelli as its new executive president, Petroecuador said in a statement.
Pareja is a chemical engineer with experience in the oil sector and has served in high-ranking offices in Petroecuador and the country's energy ministry, according to the statement.
The board also named the members of the company's administration council, as well as the VPs of Petroecuador's subsidiaries, Petroproduccion, Petroindustria and Petrocomercial.
Petroleum engineer Oscar Garzon will act as VP of Petroproduccion. Garzon has been minister and deputy minister of energy and mines, as well as Petroproduccion's VP twice before.
Chemical engineer Diego Tapia Ayala was named VP of Petroindustria, while Mario Sanchez was appointed as Petrocomercial's VP.
Further, Marcelo Reyes will act as head of Petroecuador's legal affairs and Miguel Montalvo will oversee the company's contract administration unit.
