Arabian Exploration Drilling Company (USA), Inc., the U.S. arm of Arabian Oil Co., has made a natural gas discovery in the Gulf of Mexico. Following exploratory drilling in Vermilion block 70 and Vermilion block 86 the company has found natural gas reserves estimated at 20 billion cubic feet. The Tokyo-based company currently produces 20 million cubic feet of natural gas a day from its three blocks in the Gulf of Mexico. The new discovery will increase the company's daily gas output to a maximum 40 million cubic feet in the area when new gas production begins this autumn, AOC said.
