Daybreak Hits Pay in Three Buck Bayou
Spokane, Wash.-based Daybreak Oil and Gas, Inc. said that it has reached total depth of 8,269 feet and casing has been set for the Tensas Farms F No. 3 well in the Three Buck Bayou Field in Tensas Parish, Louisiana. This is the second well to be drilled on the "F" location in this project and is approximately a mile and one-half from the initial discovery location. The target area is the Basal Tuscaloosa Sands.
Well logs indicate approximately 22 feet of hydrocarbon pay. The well will be completed in the near future and tied into the existing sales line and facilities. Daybreak has an 88% working interest before payout in this well.
In other news, Daybreak announced they have participated with a 19% working interest in the drilling of the North Colgrade well in Winn Parish, Louisiana. The well encountered eight feet of gas pay on water in the Wilcox. The well was deemed by the joint venture partners to have marginal economic viability and was abandoned. We are continuing to evaluate further drilling potential of this 1,500 acre lease.
