Stabil Drill Presents New Line of Shock Tools
The shock tools are designed to provide an improved rate of penetration and to minimize axial vibrations produced by the drill bit during drilling operations. The tools will absorb shock load on the drill string and drill bit.
"The addition of shock tools to our arsenal of other downhole tools and services will serve us and the industry well," said Chris Russo, Stabil Drill's chief operating officer. "These tools are oil-lubricated and sealed, which supply a longer operational life – ultimately saving our customers money."
Stabil Drill Shock Tools also reduce vibrations utilizing a series of springs. The shock tools can be equipped with light, medium or heavy weight springs to accommodate various drilling conditions.
Designed to enhance Stabil Drill's roller reamer line of products, the tools are available in sizes ranging from 4-3/4 to 9-1/2 inches and can operate in temperatures of 275-450 degrees, depending on the seal.
Headquartered in Lafayette, Stabil Drill has been a leader in the global oil and gas service industry for more than 20 years. Stabil Drill has provided tools and services for the world's major operators and many directional drilling companies.
