TGS-NOPEC Acquires West Greenland 2-D Seismic Data
TGS-NOPEC
TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company has acquired 6100 km non-exclusive 2D data in West Greenland. Acquisition commenced last week-end and operations are expected to terminate during September. The processing of the data will be performed by TGS-NOPEC's processing center in Bedford.
The highly pre-funded program is designed both to infill TGS-NOPEC's earlier vintage surveys in the area and to test new potential hydrocarbon provinces like the offshore areas west of Kap Farvel and Disco Island.
This year's operations mark the fourth consecutive year of TGS-NOPEC activity in West Greenland. During the four summer seasons the Company has acquired close to 20,000 kms highly pre-funded 2D seismic. The vessel M/V Polshkov, under charter to TGS-NOPEC, is currently acquiring the survey.
