Dukov Takes Helm of Gazprom Neft
On Wednesday, Gazprom Neft's board of directors terminated in advance the authority of the company's current president, Alexander Ryazanov, and appointed Alexander Dukov the company's acting president. Before that appointment Alexander Dukov had held the position of SIBUR Holding's president.
Gazprom Neft' Board of Directors also scheduled an extraordinary shareholders meeting for December 30. The agenda of this meeting will include Alexander Dukov's appointment to the post of the Gazprom Neft' president, early dismissal of Gazprom Neft's Board of Directors and new Board of Directors' election.
The shareholders' meeting will take place by correspondence.
Alexander Dukov thanked the Board of Directors for their confidence and said: "I will do my best to pursue the company's policy with continuity. Gazprom's shareholders set ambitious objectives which we should achieve in the recent future. The active role Gazprom, the main shareholder, is playing in the Gazprom Neft's development makes us believe that all the targets set by the oil company will be achieved."
