EAG Services' Well Lifecycle Course Trains E&P Professionals
EAG Services, a business and software knowledge source for the upstream oil and gas industry, introduces its Well Lifecycle training course to the marketplace.
EAG's two-day, Well Lifecycle course is an interactive experience that guides participants through the key development phases and business drivers of an Exploration and Production company; namely, finding, drilling, and operating a well. Well Lifecycle basically provides a comprehensive overview of the upstream energy business from end-to-end, David Edwards, EAG Services director and course developer.
"Whether a new hire or a seasoned professional with proficiency in a particular subject area, course participants gain greater insights into the complex processes that drive the upstream energy business," Edwards said.
EAG developed the Well Lifecycle course to address major issues facing the oil and gas industry, such as an aging workforce and an influx of employees with limited exposure to the industry, Edwards said.
"We developed this course to help new entrants to the industry get up to speed quickly," Edwards added. "Knowledge of the complete well development process is critical for effective interaction and communication across an organization. This starts with a common understanding of terms, concepts, processes, and metrics that drive the business."
Participants are coming out of the course with:
- A reduced ramp-up time for new employees to understand business drivers;
- An increased effectiveness in cross-discipline problem solving; and
- A better understanding of the significance of their role in the company's overall operations.
The course can be customized to clients' specific needs, as well as expanded to include product training.
Innovative companies engaging EAG for its Well Lifecycle training include Chesapeake Energy Company, Merrick Systems, and P2 Energy Solutions.
