Canoro Spuds Amguri 10 in India
Canoro Resources Ltd. said that it began drilling operations Sunday at the Amguri 10 well. The Amguri 10 well is being drilled from a pad adjacent to Amguri 6 to a planned vertical depth of 4,000 meters. The main Barail producing formation is expected to be drilled and tested in mid-December. All drilling and testing operations down to basement are expected to be completed in mid-January.
Canoro is a Canadian-based international oil and gas company operating in the Assam/Arakan basin of northeast India. Canoro has a 60% working interest in and is the operator of the Amguri field. Canoro has a 65% working interest in and is operator of the AA-ON/7 exploration block. Canoro has a post-farmout 15% non-operated working interest in the 295 km2 AA-ONN 2003/2 exploration block.
