Snorre A and Vigdis Back Onstream
Production on the Statoil-operated Snorre A platform and the Vigdis field has resumed.
Production on Vigdis was restarted on October 25th. Snorre A resumed production the following day.
Snorre A production was halted on October 13th due to repair work on the Umoe Schat-Harding FF48II lifeboats. Lifeboat capacity has now sufficiently improved for production to resume on both platforms.
Work continues to upgrade the remaining lifeboat capacity on Snorre A. The number of platform personnel will increase as lifeboats are repaired.
Snorre A and Vigdis produced 115,000 and 85,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day respectively, before production shutdown. As oil from Vigdis is processed on Snorre A, Vigdis was also affected by the shutdown of Snorre A.
