C&M Group Furthers Globalization Plans

C&M Group announced a restructure to further the globalization and integration plans in view of their continued expansion and rapid international growth.

The multi-disciplined electrical engineering group, which is predicting more than 50% growth next year, now has five key areas of expertise, operating as independent entities under the C&M Group banner.

Following the set up and immediate success of C&M Marine Services Ltd and C&M Advanced Technology Ltd., the group is now bolstering its offshore electrical and instrumentation and contracting electrical divisions.

C&M's electrical and instrumentation division, until now, largely concentrated upon the North Sea focused, is now set to go global. Danny Jack joins as global technical manager from Diamond Drilling. His role will be to help to grow the business into new international markets.

The long-established electrical contracting division, which provides it services across the entire group, is gearing up to provide additional services to its customers through the integration of data cabling and electrical engineering. James Munro, formerly with Instalec, has joined C&M as manager of structured cabling to develop this integrated approach to networking, fiber optics and wi-fi communications and promote it to all C&M's customers.

Alick Smith, managing director of C&M Group says: "All too often our customers appoint us to handle all their electrical requirements and another contractor to install data and fiber optic cabling. We now have the capability to offer a complete turnkey solution, providing a totally integrated service."
