Cameron Forms Subsea JV with Curtiss-Wright
Cameron has formed a joint venture with Curtiss-Wright for the supply of subsea multiphase pumping systems. The systems will include advanced technology that has been developed and patented by Curtiss-Wright's Flow Control segment, Electro- Mechanical Division (EMD). The joint venture will operate as Cameron/Curtiss- Wright EMD LLC, and combines the subsea production systems integration experience of Cameron with the motor and pumping systems expertise of Curtiss- Wright.
Subsea multiphase pumping systems are an integral part of Cameron's efforts to develop subsea processing solutions that would allow customers to optimize production from offshore reservoirs in the Gulf of Mexico, West Africa, Brazil and other parts of the world. In addition to providing the energy needed to lift oil from the reservoir to surface production facilities, such pumping systems may also aid in accelerating oil production rates and improving customers' return on investment.
Cameron's current range of systems solutions includes drilling and production systems, processing systems, compression systems and flow measurement systems. The addition of multiphase pumping to this suite of capabilities will enable Cameron to provide fully integrated subsea systems to meet the evolving needs of subsea processing and boosting.
Cameron is a leading provider of flow equipment products, systems and services to worldwide oil, gas and process industries.
