PA Resources Confirms Oil in Didon Well
PA Resources has completed the pilot hole of the first production well of the Didon Phase II development program. The well Didon-5 pilot hole has been logged and the hydrocarbon column and reservoir properties have been confirmed.
The Didon-5 well is located on the central part of the Didon field in Tunisia and is drilled from the newly installed Didon platform by the jack-up rig Ocean Spur. The Didon-5 pilot hole was drilled to acquire vertical data across the reservoir section and serve as control for the drilling of the horizontal production drain.
The data gathered in the pilot hole has confirmed the quality of the reservoir, and that the horizontal production drain will be drilled according to plan. The horizontal drain is planned to be drilled as a sidetrack and will have a length of 1000 meter and will be placed along the crest of the central part of the field. Once completed the Didon-5 well is planned to have a production capacity of 12,000 barrels per day.
