Paul Tranter Named VP, Performance and Operations for Transocean Inc.
Paul Tranter has been named Vice President, Performance and Operations for Transocean Inc. (NYSE: RIG), the world's largest offshore drilling contractor. Tranter reports to Jean Cahuzac, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.
Tranter joined the company in 1981 and served on rig-construction projects in Japan, Singapore and Norway. Other assignments included Drilling Engineer in Syria, France and Spain, Rig Manager in West Africa, Technical Manager in Aberdeen and Nigeria Division Manager. He also served in various other technical and operational positions culminating in his position as Director of Engineering and Technical Support.
Tranter earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Naval Architecture from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne in the United Kingdom.
