ANP Sets Round 8 for November 28
Brazil's national hydrocarbons regulator ANP will hold the eighth hydrocarbon exploration licensing round on November 28, ANP said in a statement.
ANP will now prepare the tender and the areas to be offered. The round was postponed from the end of August because ANP said it did not have time to follow legal steps to prepare for the auction.
BNamericas reported earlier this week that ANP wants to offer as much as 400,000 sq km for exploration in the round.
"We will offer areas that have good information so oil companies can decide whether to invest," Newton Monteiro, an ANP director, said in an interview.
