TexCom Completes Fifth Frio Well, Keeps Drilling
TexCom, Inc. reported that its natural gas operating subsidiary, TexCom Partners, LLC, has completed its fifth well: the McCan T-6.
The T-6 was drilled to a total depth of 6,390 feet and completed in the Middle Frio at 5,733 feet. The 5,733-foot zone will be the fifth Middle Frio zone produced to date in TexCom Partners’ 2005-A limited partnership. The T-6 will be fully tested and brought online as soon as possible.
TexCom's four prior wells-- McCan T-2, McCan T-3, McCan T-4, and McCan T-5--were placed online in the last 3 months.
The T-3, having experienced water encroachment from below, was cement-squeezed and re-perforated on July 3 in its original productive zone at 5,922 feet. Flow rate potentials from the T-3 are being determined.
The McCan T-7 well reached total depth of 6,224 on July 4. Logging was completed on Wednesday and the company is preparing to run production casing in the well.
These wells are part of a TexCom drilling program on a 3,086-acre holding in the McFaddin North Field in Victoria County, Texas. TexCom operates the wells and owns a 16-percent working interest prior to payout and a 32-percent interest thereafter.
TexCom plans to continue its drilling program for the foreseeable future.
