Burgos Basin Hits Daily Output Record
Mexican state oil company Pemex's Burgos natural gas basin on May 31 produced a record 1.34 billion cubic feet (Bf3), representing 25% of the country's total natural gas output, Pemex said in a statement.
In addition, Pemex has reached its highest daily production rate of natural gas of 5.28Bf3 thanks to increased investment and new technology in Burgos and the Campeche basin in the Gulf of Mexico, the company said.
In the last 10 years, Pemex's natural gas production in Burgos has grown nearly 700% from 180 million cubic feet per day, Pemex said.
Burgos, which is in northern Mexcio, started natural gas production in 1945.
