Brae East Field Shutdown For Maintenance

Production from Marathon's Brae East natural gas field in the North Sea was down Tuesday due to maintenance on a gas compression system, according to a Marathon spokeswoman. Production from Brae East, which is the main gas-producing field in Marathon's Brae complex, is expected to return to normal by Tuesday evening, spokeswoman Sheena Wallace said.

"The amount of gas we have been producing is down very slightly ... It should be back up right about now," she said around 1630 GMT. The Brae fields produced 562 million standard cubic feet of natural gas in March, the most recent month for which Marathon had statistics, Wallace said.
