W&T Offshore Names Thomas F. Getten as General Counsel
W&T Offshore, Inc. announced that Thomas F. Getten will be joining the Company as its General Counsel effective July 1, 2006.
Since February 2001, Mr. Getten, age 58, has been a partner with King, LeBlanc & Bland, P.L.L.C., a New Orleans law firm. From 1996 to December 2000, Mr. Getten served as Vice President, Secretary and General Counsel of Forcenergy, Inc. until its merger into Forest Oil Corporation. Prior to joining Forcenergy, Mr. Getten was a partner with New Orleans law firms Nesser, King & LeBlanc, from 1995 to 1996, and Liskow & Lewis, from 1974 to 1994. Mr. Getten was also employed as a reservoir engineer by Standard Oil of California from 1970 until 1971. Mr. Getten received a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from LSU in 1970 and a J.D. from LSU in 1974.

involved in our legal matters since that time."
