Energy Council Confirms E&P Round 8 for Nov 27-29
Brazil's national energy policy council CNPE has ratified a proposal by hydrocarbons and biofuels regulator ANP to offer new exploration blocks at a tender scheduled for November 27-29, local news service Agencia Estado quoted ANP president Haroldo Lima as saying.
The tender will include exploratory blocks in 54 areas and a second tender for marginal non-productive fields, confirming a BNamericas report published on March 30.
Details of the blocks to be offered will be decided by CNPE at its next meeting in May, the news service reported.
Neither ANP nor the mines and energy ministry could immediately confirm details of the meeting.
