TransGlobe Energy Completes An Nagyah #20 Well as Producer
TransGlobe Energy has completed another successful horizontal development well on Block S-1 in the Republic of Yemen.
An Nagyah #20 was completed as a producing Lam A oil well after flowing at a stabilized rate of 2,992 barrels of light (43 degree API) oil per day and 1,602 thousand cubic feet of gas per day on a 48/64 inch choke. The well commenced drilling on February 7, 2006, and reached a total depth of 1,985 meters, with a 754-meter horizontal section. The An Nagyah #20 well is connected to the An Nagyah facilities with a temporary pipeline to enable production to continue until a permanent flow line is constructed.
The drilling rig is now moving to the next drilling location at An Nagyah #21. The An Nagyah #21 well is a horizontal development well in the Lower Lam B reservoir. The Lower Lam B formation is found below the main Lam A producing horizon in the An Nagyah field.
In Block S-1, Yemen TransGlobe Energy holds a 25.0% working interest.
