Petrobras: P-52 Platform Hull has Left Singapore

Brazil's federal energy company Petrobras (NYSE: PBR) has confirmed the hull of the P-52 semi-submersible platform left Singapore on February 22 and should arrive in Brazil at end-March.

The hull was converted by Singapore shipbuilders Keppel Fels.

The P-52 will go to the Brasfels shipyard in Rio de Janeiro state, where the topside integration will be carried out, the first time such work has been done in Brazil, according to Petrobras.

Keppel Fels also has a stake in Brasfels.

The 180,000 barrel-a-day platform will produce oil in the deepwater Roncador field in the Campos basin in 2007.
