FMC Receives Final Acceptance on Sonatrach Project
FMC Technologies says that its Floating Systems subsidiary has received final customer acceptance of the Sontrach project, an offshore oil loading project in Algeria for Sonatrach-TRC, the Algerian Oil and Gas Company. The Company has completed final testing of the installed equipment at all three sites; Bejaia, Arzew and Skikda.
"We are pleased to report the completion of this project and the receipt of customer acceptance from Sonatrach," said Joseph H. Netherland, Chairman, and Chief Executive Officer.
FMC Technologies continues to negotiate various cost recovery claims concerning delays and work stoppages with Sonatrach. At this time, the Company cannot provide assurances regarding the timing of the resolution of these claims or that they will be on terms favorable to FMC Technologies.
