Maersk Appoints Peter S. Linnemann to Senior Vice President

As per 1 December 2005 Peter Schack Linnemann is appointed Senior Vice President in A.P. Moller.

Peter S. Linnemann joined the company in 1982 as a trainee and after graduation he was stationed in Dublin, Ireland. He joined the Human Resources Department in 1986. In 1989 he was promoted to Manager, in 1991 to General Manager and in 1993 to Director.

In 1997 Peter S. Linnemann was transferred to Maersk Sealand in Copenhagen and the following year to Lisbon in Portugal as head of the company’s activities there. He was in 2000 transferred to Bangkok, Thailand, holding the same level of responsibility.

Since 2003, Peter S. Linnemann has been the Area Manager for Central Europe, based in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Here he has been responsible for the activities in Germany, The Netherlands and Belgium as well as a number of smaller countries.

With his new title of Senior Vice President Peter S. Linnemann will take up the position as responsible for Human Resources for Mærsk Olie og Gas, Maersk Tankers, Maersk Supply Service and Group Oil Trading.

Peter S. Linnemann, who holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in International Trade, has an Executive MBA from IMD in Switzerland and has complimented his education with management courses in the USA and Europe.
