Deep Marine Technology Names New Board Members

Deep Marine Technology has appointed of two new members to its Board of Directors. The new appointees are: Bruce Gilman- Mr. Gilman's experience spans over four decades of the offshore industry with particular emphasis on subsea intervention engineering and operations. He has held several Senior Executive positions in the industry including serving as President of both Perry Offshore & Oceaneering International Inc.; President & Founder of Sonat Subsea Services; and President, CEO & Director of Sonsub Inc., a Saipem Group company. He was also Chairman & President of Saipem Inc., the US Subsidiary of Saipem SpA; a graduate of the Polytechnic University of New York in Aeronautical Engineering; a registered Professional Engineer (PE); and Marine Technology Society (MTS) Fellow and President-Elect.

Drew Michel- Mr. Michel brings to the board forty years of technical and senior management experience in deepwater operations. He is the Founder, CEO and Principal Consultant of ROV Technologies, an engineering firm dedicated exclusively to Remotely Operated Vehicle Technology; a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc (IEEE); an MTS Fellow; Chairman of the MTS ROV Committee; and Co-chair of the Underwater Intervention Conference. Mr. Michel is a recipient of the Engineering News Record Award for Outstanding Engineering Achievement and the Lockheed-Martin Award for Ocean Science and Engineering for his overall contribution to the development of ROV Technology.
