ODL Wins Maersk Alvheim FPSO Contract
ODL, a subsidiary of John Wood Group, has been awarded a contract from Maersk Contractors Norge AS for the provision of operational, maintenance and training documentation and systems for the Alvheim FPSO, operated out of Norway. ODL will assist in the research, development and production of operational, health, safety & environmental and maintenance documentation and the development & population of the CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System) for the Alvheim FPSO.

Detailed planning and resource scheduling for the project are currently in progress in conjunction with Maersk Contractors.
The Alvheim project will be operated by Maersk Contractors on behalf of Marathon Oil. Maersk Contractors is providing project management services to oversee the design and conversion of the hull, topsides and turret and the integration of the "MST Odin", built in 2001, into an FPSO. Maersk Contractors will also develop systems for the operation and commissioning of the FPSO, as well as staffing and training requirements. Upon completion the FPSO will be positioned and installed on the Alvheim Field in the Norwegian North Sea.
