Northern Sun Exploration Completes Two Gas Wells in Alberta

Northern Sun Exploration has drilled, cased and completed its two new exploration gas test wells near Grouard in Alberta. The first well in which the Company holds a 100% working interest was drilled to a depth of 850 meters encountering gas in various zones. The well is currently being production tested and results will be released upon completion. A 450 meter pipeline tie-in will begin immediately to bring this well into production for gas sales upon completion of the test and economic production rates. The second well in which the Company holds an 87.5% working interest has been cased and logged and based upon the logs the Company is proceeding with a multi-zone completion program. Upon a successful economic test the Company will install pipeline and production equipment to a third party operated facility. The Company's two successful wells drilled earlier in the year will be tied-in in conjunction with this pipeline program.

The Company's exploration gas test well at its Bittern lake property in central Alberta has been drilled and based on well logs will be completed in certain prospective zones. Upon a successful production test the well will be tied into a third party facility with a 1600 meter pipeline to facilitate gas sales.

The Company drilled two horizontal development wells in the existing producing Madison formation, both are undergoing production testing. The Company also drilled, cased and completed six vertical gas development wells in the existing producing field. All six wells have been fracture stimulated and are in the process of being production tested. Northern Sun will pay 100% of all costs to earn a 67.5% working interest in the gas wells and production.

The Company has also obtained a rig to complete its year end program consisting of a gas test of its 100% working interest Fort Pitt property and its 100% working interest Senlac property. Both wells will be drilled to a depth of 800 meters targeting Mannville oil and gas prospects. Both the Fort Pitt and Senlac wells will be tied-in to a nearby third party facility for gas sales provided the wells prove to be economic.
