Endeavour Names Managing Director for Norway Subsidiary



Endeavour International has named Tord Pedersen as managing director of Endeavour Energy Norge AS effective October 1, 2005.

"Tord's appointment reflects our commitment to strengthening our presence in Norway as we establish an exploratory portfolio and expand our producing interests," said William L. Transier and John N. Seitz, co-chief executive officers. "His experience in the Norwegian oil and gas sector coupled with his leadership skills will be instrumental as we execute our North Sea strategy of finding and developing new sources of oil and gas."

Pedersen has an extensive background in the international oil and gas industry with 24 years of experience in international upstream activities for three major oil companies. During his career he has had management responsibility for exploration, management of E&P portfolios and contract negotiation. He most recently was manager of business development for ConocoPhillips Norway. Prior to that assignment, he was vice president of business development for the company in Dubai, UAE.

His other experience includes positions in exploration, business development and new ventures for Norsk Hydro and Saga Petroleum that were focused in Norway and the Middle East. Early in his career, he worked with Conoco as a geologist and project coordinator for various international initiatives. Pedersen is a graduate with a master of science in geology from the University of Trondheim.
