Goodrich Petroleum Assessing Hurricane Impact on Louisiana Fields

Goodrich Petroleum says that it conducted a flyover of its Burrwood/West Delta 83 fields yesterday and is continuing its assessment of the impact of Hurricane Katrina on its operated Burrwood/West Delta 83 field and non-operated Lafitte field. Preliminary assessments indicate that the Company did not incur substantial damage to any of its wells or production facilities in the Burrwood/West Delta 83 field in Plaquemines Parish nor in the non-operated Lafitte field.

The Company shut-in production at the Burrwood/West Delta 83 field on Saturday, August 27, in advance of the storm and evacuated all employee and contract personnel from Company's operated properties in south central and southeast Louisiana. The Company's production in these fields remains shut-in, pending resumption of operations. Efforts are underway to resume operations and production in both fields.

The Hurricane had no impact on the Company's operations in the rest of Louisiana nor on its operations in the Cotton Valley Trend of East Texas.
