Canoro Begins Drilling South Jorhat Exploration Prospect

Drilling operations on Canoro Resources Ltd.'s South Jorhat exploration prospect, on the AA-ON/7 exploration block in northeast India, have now commenced. It is expected to take approximately two months to drill, log, and test this well.

South Jorhat is a large, multi-zone oil prospect on the 1,450 km2 AA-ON/7 exploration block. If South Jorhat is successful, there are other look-alike structures on the block that can be drilled. This prospect is on trend with and analogous to other significant oil discoveries in the basin.

Canoro is a Canadian-based international oil and gas company operating a development and an exploration block in the prolific Assam/Arakan basin of northeast India. The Company is testing and rehabilitating production from the suspended Amguri oil and gas field where it is the operator and has a 60% working interest. Canoro started drilling its first exploration well on the AA-ON/7 exploration block where it is the operator and has a 65% working interest.
